Arteta Not Substitute Nasri-Fabregas

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta confirmed Tuesday when he did not come to the Emirates as a substitute Cesc Fabregas or Samir Nasri. Spaniard recruited Arsenal on the last day of the summer transfer window closing August 31 and then from Everton. Arsenal bought Arteta after receiving the results of an embarrassing few days earlier where they were slaughtered Manchester United 8-2 in Premier League.

Many suspect Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger bought Arteta to replace Fabregas and Nasri who dlepas to Barcelona and Manchester City. But Arteta feels he is not a substitute for the pair. "They are the two top players for the club, they are really very brilliant in recent years and now we have some new players who come to try and give the same effect. I believe we can," said Arteta.

"I do not want fans to expect the same as them because every player is different. We need time to adapt well. But I'm sure we'll give you something that we can to make this team better," said Arteta.
